Very interesting website. For once, for the report (N. Stern is the key person behind). But even more for the website design. It’s like an interactive ebook brought online, with video which can play (fullscreen) in the background, links in all directions, pages which just need to be scrolled down for overview, and to the left for deeper look into it…
Pretty cool… Although, still, I don’t read the stuff, as I don’t like reading text on screen…

Gapminder is a great tool. Doesn’t work with lots of combinations of data. But how to translate this into static images? Here is a nice example.

Nice evolution from a standard (and as such published) Excel chart to a nice, innovative looking one (although perhaps a bit more challenging to read).

Data visualization tools grow steep in numbers. Difficult to catch up with all developments. Datavisualization.ch has a nice overview over some of these.

Interesting, interactive map of the world from NASA to show global/local temperature changes.”The heat is on for the planet as a whole, but what has been happening where you live? Click a place on the map to find out, or enter a location in the search box in the top right-hand corner.”

Interesting application: Bringing the mindmap to the web. Interactive. Very smooth. But not sure if I would use it; if I would have the patience to click through the different items.
