skitch.pngNice little app that enables not only taking screenshots, but, which really makes it interesting, permits to draw directly on the screenshots (notes, arrows etc.), to store it for further use and, really slick, can send it over to a website, from where you can use the URL to insert it into forum threads etc.

A Map of Olympic Medals

picture-166.pngThat’s somewhat a cartogram styled view of statistics. Interesting. But, as one can “distort” a map not only by exploding/imploding countries, but as well as turning the countries to rounds or squares, this is a nice and quick way to display statistical information as well relative to its size. Cool.
